Incredibly sad to hear my colleague and friend Nicky Gavron has passed. Nicky devoted her life to public service in London. She served as Deputy Mayor from 2000-2003 and again from 2004-2008. She was a London Assembly Member from its inception in 2000 up until 2021. 1/3

At the annual Singh Sabha Nagar Kirtan, marking the first Parkash (opening and reading) of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Amritsar. The route goes from Barking Gurdwara to Seven Kings Gurdwara, with prayers and langar (food) served throughout by volunteers. Everyone is welcome!
