Enjoyed BBC Politics West Midlands Mayoral hustings. My takeaway is that Andy Street has a clear record of delivery, a clear plan for his next term & is the only candidate not making pie-in-the-sky promises. Andy Street has brought huge investment to the WM. LOTS done. More to do.

The Aerospace industry needs security to invest in job creation - Labour need to step up now and match our spending plans. Wolverhampton NE - with 3 Aerospace companies and many smaller engineering firms - stands to benefit hugely from Rishi Sunak Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP funding boost.

A significant moment for Defence:

➡️ £75bn increase in defence spending between now & 2030

➡️ Supporting Ukraine with our largest package yet & an additional £500m this year

➡️ Immediate focus on munitions, industry & tech

➡️ Enables defence to invest even more in our people

I hate smoking. It killed my Father. I'm delighted that % of Brits smoking is falling & will continue to fall as we educate people about health consequences, & it becomes less fashionable to smoke. I want us to be smoke-free, but don't think this Bill is the way to do it.

The mayor has banned conservatives who articulate the view of millions of people from meeting because he doesn’t like their opinions.

Meanwhile the Labour Party laugh at these Putin-esque tactics.

Anyone who believes in freedom of speech should be concerned.

Disappointing. Are we to conclude that censorship and police raids of public events, featuring political opponents, are a cause for giggles on Labour front bench? Hardly reassuring for the future of UK democratic debate

The Mayor of Brussels is trying to shut down the National Conservatism conference, due to be addressed by democratically elected politicians from around Europe. Extraordinary infringement of free speech and the right of assembly - all in the name of liberalism.

I caught up with Andy Street & Jane Stevenson MP about Labour's plans to close Wednesfield Police Station.

Residents want visible, accessible policing - and that's exactly what I'll deliver if elected on 2nd May.

It's time to end Labour failure and return to proper local policing.
