The playing fields in Perry Barr used by Diamond FC for many years are under threat, so I joined Morriam Jan & the young footballers to hear about it ⚽️

I’ve taken the case up with Network Rail to see if access can be returned & the club can enjoy the use of the fields again 🌳

We’ve used our brownfield-first approach to unlock derelict sites like Bilston Urban Village to deliver new jobs 🏗️

We’ve also used it to set the national pace for housebuilding & smash our affordable targets 📈

That’s why I’m pledging to spend the £1BILLION fund that has been amassed, hire a Black Country Regeneration Commissioner, & set up a new ‘First Impressions Fund’ ✅

With the financial challenges facing Birmingham, it’s more important than ever that the Mayor has a grip on the region’s finances 🤝🏻

I’ve delivered a balanced budget every year with no mayoral tax, and by bringing in £BILLIONS of investment I’ll make sure that continues ✅
