theguardian.com/education/vide… As the current government comes under rightful scrutiny for the treatment of disabled children in England’s education system, let’s not lose sight of a critical truth: These failures didn’t start today. They are the product of years of political choices,

12 weeks in prison for degrading, mocking, and assaulting disabled children. Others walked free. This is what passes for justice after the Panorama exposé at Life Wirral. Let’s be clear: This isn’t just about rogue staff. It’s about governments — past and present — who

Children with SEND deserve support in Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes and across the country. In Parliament, I raised concerns about changes to the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF). I’ll keep pressing to protect the therapeutic support families rely on.

An elderly patient with Alzheimer's, his confusion exacerbated by an infection, wheel chair bound with one leg, holding a butter knife .... honestly what is the world coming to when the vulnerable are treated like this?

Yesterday, I met with Adoption UK and adoptive parents to discuss the impact of cuts to the Adoption Support Fund — a vital lifeline for families.   I stand with them in urging the Government to reverse these damaging cuts and protect support for children who need it most.

If you’re concerned about comments in the media that indicate the government is considering restricting education, health and care plans to children in special schools: 1. Sign and share the petition petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7110… 2. Write to and visit your MP ipsea.org.uk/write-to-your-…

The fundamental problem with suggestion to dilute EHC Plans is that they *reflect* #SEND needs, they don’t create needs. Govt can reduce statutory entitlements, but can’t legislate away need - so any new framework will break just as the current one has unless properly resourced
