If freeholders were called LANDLORDS, which they are, then people would better understand #leasehold and probably wouldn’t have gone anywhere near it. The law would also apply better to regulating them as well.

FBF Absolutely. This is the real scandal. In the past 25 yrs what should be a workable, society model for housing in Eng & Wales' city centres & urban areas, became a cesspit of opportunistic, scamming income streams to the benefit of many, except those paying & living in the props.
