I wanted to go over the GMC’s response to Mrs Marking’s death. GMC has a responsibility to safeguard the public against medical malpractice, but they don’t consider it a duty. However, unfortunately for patients, they are the only body with the comprehensive mandate for this. 1/

The GMC no longer safeguards patients, it no longer regulates medical practice, it can no longer even define it, or define the difference between PAs and Doctors. How is this safe? As doctors, it’s unethical and against GMP to not call for a #VONC in the GMC. 20/20
