The Isle of Skye is so topographically varied! As shown in this dataviz by OS Technical Relationship Consultant Hannah, inspired by John Nelson's paper cut style for ArcGIS Pro.

Grimes Graves, England's largest known Neolithic flint mine, will re-open Saturday 27th! 🎉⛏️

The new entrance enables visitors to descend into the oldest humanmade underground space in England. While, above ground, a new exhibition tells the story of people 4,500 years ago 🕰️

I thought I'd start today with another one that hasn't seen the light of day recently! This is 'Quayside, Appledore' by Brynhild Parker from 1932. It is in the collection Ulster Museum.

When I used the old British Rail, it was tired but affordable, ran to places beyond just the main line & was generally on time. The bad reputation was largely based on TV sketch show jokes about the sandwiches. Now you can get a designer panini but need a mortgage to get a train.
