A LIFE CUT SHORT 6TH APRIL 1944
AA810’s last pilot Sandy Gunn. Murdered 80 years ago today for his part in the #greatescape alongside William Grisman, Tony Hayter, Clement McGarr, Harold Milford, Denys Street, and John Williams.
He was 24 years old.

#Italy will retire the epic Leonardo Aircraft/@Embraer AMX tomorrow in a ceremony at Istrana AB after 35 years of operation. It is one of the last light combat aircraft in service anywhere in Europe. Its retirement means the Aeronautica Militare will be reliant on three fighter types.
