On this day in 1941, Jan Zwolski, Zygmunt Gaik, and Tadeusz Szostak of the Polish Air Force were killed alongside an RAF instructor when their Wellington bomber crashed in Bulkington whilst descending to land at nearby RAF Bramcote.
