The new Olga Tokarczuk is absolute genius. I think it confirms her as my favourite living writer. It doesn’t just equal Mann’s The Magic Mountain, I much preferred it, and Antonia-Lloyd-Jones’s translation is perfection Fitzcarraldo Editions
