EU & Ireland would be quiet happy for UK to be a partner to its burden sharing EU Migration Pact. If anything Heaton-Harris has now opened door to that possibility.

Lord Frost:
a) falsely claims that the Northern Ireland protocol was 'temporary' - not only untrue legally, but also it was presented as an 'oven ready deal'
b) gives the false impression that EU will move hundreds of thousands around (in fact it's 30k/year Commission proposal)

Of the many flaws in this, the most egregious is the claim that the NI Protocol was a 'temporary fix'. And if 'too many Conservatives seem to see Brexit more as an embarrassing secret', well, there's an obvious reason for that.

Imagine if Michel Barnier spent his time trashing the outcomes of the WA/NIP and TCA agreements he helped negotiate. Imagine the headlines in UK's Brexit press.
