With my old state 6th form scheduled for destruction & rebuilding (& an alumni event pending) I've been in 'the records'; however, as I now (in 2024) teach maths my eyes have lingered over an item produced during year 5 at my state primary school. Please excuse rogue SPAG!

Not quite to your level of challenge Catriona Agg... The glass viewing roof is made from congruent triangles with side length 1.6 metres. What was the minimum area of glass needed to cut the glass panes from?

Each time wood for 12 bobbins was cut, one of them was placed on a rack & the rest in a basket. Once there were 3 rows of 4, the rack would be emptied into the basket & the basketful exchanged for a gross being sawn into a tally stick;pay was by the gross. Gross being?

Whilst it may be diverting for others to consider whether A23a would generate its own micro-climate, as a maths teacher one might see a great example of something usefully measureable in cubed km. However,
