Nature recovery at scale is certainly needed, but are National Parks really the landscapes where we should be targeting it? Our National Parks were not designated for species and habitats, and using them to prioritise nature recovery is unlikely to be optimal for biodiversity.

My Mum grew these Elms from seed collected from mature and apparently healthy Huntingdon Elms (Ulmus vegeta). Last week, we planted six out into a local woodland and repotted the rest. Hoping that White-letter Hairstreaks find them in a few years time (nearest colony ~1km away).
