In 2010 the whole of the public sector made up 19.7% of NZ’s total workforce. In 2023 it made up 18.8%. Claims there has been an explosion in the public sector are pure spin to justify sacking hard working Kiwis to pay for unaffordable tax cuts. This govt has the wrong priorities

For devolution to work, decision-making and revenue-raising powers have to be taken away from Whitehall and local people given a much larger role in setting their own priorities.
