Teachers need not HAVE to do SOTL to have their extensive work preparing, designing, conducting, assessing, inspiring, student learning be valued. SoTL certainly captures intentional, systematic, changes to instruction and resulting changes in learning but takes some knowhow.

I am begging folks: If a workshop is providing and asking folks to use a mic, please do not refuse to use the mic and ask "can everyone hear me without this?" Just use the mic. Being heard is not just about the volume but also about the clarity of being able to hear the words.
