I promise this isn't coming from a place of schadenfreude, but I imagine that some Joburg voters today feel like they were hoodwinked and bamboozled in the 2021 LGEs by political campaigning akin to this... πŸ‘€πŸ™ˆπŸ˜

Public participation πŸ‘‡πŸΎ This is where our work as citizens starts. We’ve voted but now in between elections we need to hold our representatives to account. We need to get more involved. Here’s a bill that is out for public comment. Read it, if you agree add your voice if you

πŸŽ™ LISTEN | As he heads off to join the DA’s post-election negotiating team, Tony Leon he tells Peter Bruce that the constitution wasn’t designed to deal with the kind of collapse in electoral support for the ruling party that happened last week. businesslive.co.za/fm/fm-fox/2024…

The President gave up as much as he could, while bringing his fractured party along with him. The DA got as much as it needed to show the DA difference in government. Deal done. Forward we go now.

Nationally ANC got 40%, the DA got 22%. Gauteng the ANC got 35%, the DA got 27%.South Africa is an airplane. The ANC is the pilot and the DA is the co-pilot. The other minority parties are the cabin crew, and South Africans the passengers on this flight. Take off a bit bumpy

Siviwe Gwarube on eNCA and the first thing she's talking about is eradicating pit toilets in South Africa - after 30 years how has this not been done yet? Excellent news. How exciting!

I'm disgusted by the hateful comments about this young man's accent. I have a different English accent from my parents. Why? Because I was exposed to a different set of English people. I was taught English by a different set of people. I had more exposure to the world than they

I beg to differ. If the DA had rebuffed the invitation to join the GNU, thus leaving open the gap for an ANC-EFF+ agglomeration, they would would have caught major flak from several quarters and been illogically blamed for "pushing the ANC" into a Doomsday Coalition...

This is only partly true. Police certainly don't & can't prevent social fabric crimes, i.e. interpersonal violence between people who know each other, but police visibility does prevent opportunistic crime, and effective Crime Intelligence can prevent syndicate/organised crime...
