Two years ago we lost my wife Dr Nicole Andrews to a breast cancer that is 3x more likely to kill Black women. Her work was important and inspiring; she decided the concept 'Blackness is the roundabout'. On this day I share my dedication to her in #BlacknessAtTheIntersection

There were 380,108 NHS staff from ethnic minority backgrounds in March 2023, which is 144,570 more than in 2018. This represents an increase of more than 60 per cent.

The number of white staff has risen by just 6 per cent (53,279) over the same period.
