“Our students deserve better”. Ursula McCabe launching Old Bawn Community School fundraiser this evening. 💪We believe we can achieve our goal of getting a green space for our school community and know that the benefits of having a safe space for physical activity will be immeasurable.

We were very pleased to welcome, Minster for Education, Norma Foley T.D to the school today to have a look at our digital teaching & learning. Ms Foley also launched our room inspired by Microsoft 365 #dreamspace. It was a great honour to showcase our school and what we do. ⭐️

A joy to visit Old Bawn Community School today with John Lahart TD, Charlie O'Connor and public reps. It was a visit led by students, with beautiful music and culminating in the official opening of the illuminating DreamSpace room. Thanks to the entire school community for the opportunity to visit.

#NAPD23 asked me to reimagine leadership. While I don’t know what it is for me yet, after such inspiring speakers & 💬 I know leadership is not much different to Galway’s 🌅. It can be humble yet majestic, both simple & beautiful with colour & brightness that is never the same.

☘️ We wish our school Chaplin, Ms Barbara Cunningham the very best of luck with her and nomination in the #TallaghtPersonoftheYear Awards 2023. She is nominated for organising hampers for 30 years in Old Bawn. These are given to our community. 🏆She is a winner in our eyes 😊

Today we welcomed Sandra Hickey from the Local Enterprise Board, SDCC and two local entrepreneurs, Samantha Forrest from Fussy Food Plates and Maryann Mesbur from Bear’s Little Fish who provided lots of inspiration for the budding entrepreneur inside our TY’s.
