4th Class pupils celebrated #GirlsinICTDay by attending an online #MicrosoftDreamSpace event where they learned about coding processes and began to code microbits online. They also listened to an interview with Jess Kelly tech correspondent with #newstalk which they loved.

P6 celebrated International #GirlsinICTDay by taking part in a live event with MSDreamSpace in Dublin. The girls learned all about algorithms, conditional statements and loops in coding. They used makecode.microbit.org website to code virtual micro:bits. Microsoft Education Ireland

As we mark #InternationalGirlsInICTDay , we’re committed to empowering young women to engage in #STEM . Since its launch, over 100,000 girls have engaged with the #MSDreamSpace programme.

The Senior Room had a brilliant morning taking part in a ‘Girls in ICT’ Day webinar with Microsoft Education Ireland Dreamspace. They learned about algorithms and codes Microbits to display icons and play music! Thank you Microsoft Education Ireland for organising

Our P6 DreamSpace Ambassadors were back in action in P7 yesterday. They introduced P7 to the actual micro:bit computers, and showed them how to programme them. The girls gave very clear instructions and were very helpful when any of the P7 girls were stuck. Microsoft Education Ireland
