Celebrated the end of classes w/ another successful expungement clinic. With Legal Aid Justice Center, Justice Forward VA, Commonwealth Attys for Albemarle and Charlottesville, and UVA Police Division, UVA Law School students prepped and filed petitions to remove 70+ arrests that didn’t result in conviction.

At arguments in Grants Pass, Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson are pummeling the Gibson Dunn attorney defending laws that punish homeless people who sleep outside.

Sotomayor asks: If homeless people aren't allowed to sleep anywhere, are they supposed to just 'kill themselves'?

Big day! After a morning helping to facilitate a Reentry Summit at the 12th Annual Tom Tom Foundation, my UVA Law School students spent the afternoon getting proximate to the reentry experience at a simulation coordinated by formerly incarcerated people who lead nonprofits across the city.
