Acompáñenos este 9 de mayo en #FallsChurch para una sesión de 'Conoce tus derechos' en la que hablaremos sobre sus derechos al interactuar con ICE y la mejor forma de prepararse pro-activamente para ese momento.
(This event will be in Spanish only).
Join us #today at RISE For Youth's 'Conversations Around the Commonwealth' in #Charlottesville , where we'll discuss youth involvement in the justice system, schools, gun violence, and more. We want to listen to our youth's perspective!

We are grateful to the GA and Michael Jones for this vote! The amendments would have added a $10 fee to those requesting an itemized list of how much they owe in court fines and fees.
Adding new fees will only create additional barriers to the transparency of court debt.
On 04/24 in #Charlottesville we will be partnering with several organizations to host an expungement clinic where we will help people remove eligible charges from their criminal record!
Pre-registration is encouraged, RSVP here: bit.ly/ExpungementCli…
Today, #HB157 , bill that allows farmworkers to receive minimum wage, passed out of Senate with critical support. Now, Governor Glenn Youngkin has the unique opportunity to right a historical wrong for #farmworkers in VA.
Thanks to Delegate Adele McClure (she/her), Delegate Phil Hernandez, and everyone involved!
HB824, which aims to eliminate counsel fees for those the court has deemed indigent, and HB857, bill to reduce time court debt can be collected to 10 years, passed out of Senate!
Thanks to Delegate Phil Hernandez, Delegate Rae Cousins and everyone involved for their efforts on these bills!
Good news! HB612–bill that requires courts to count community service work to offset court debt while incarcerated– and HB614–bill to give people with court debt more time to pay before being sent to collections– passed out of Senate!
Thanks to Delegate Cia Price for her leadership!
