We stand beside Jefferson Estela πŸ‰ and the youth climate activists denied of access thru visas to attend the #SB60 in Germany. Denying access to climate spaces is a form of climate injustice. The youth are the main stakeholders for climate action; they must have a seat in these spaces.

It's the second week of #SB60! This is my first time participating in Pre-COP in Bonn, Germany, and I'm following climate finance, adaptation, loss & damage, and oceans. If you are here, let's connect and maybe get some coffee. I'm also open for interviews. See you around. πŸ‘‹πŸΌ

No mention of dirty energy companies while bragging about securing a seat and hosting the Loss & Damage Fund is contradictory. It only means that Marcos admin won't hold polluters accountable for fueling climate crisis; the very reason for billions of losses & damages. #SONA24

Flood control in πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ is so messed up bec many LGUs DO NOT: 1 Analyze flood type (pluvial, coastal, or riverrine?) 2 Consult to identify root causes &where in watershed 3 Prioritise nonstructural (eg land use policy) & soft structural (eg wetland restoration)methods vs hard infra

Baha na naman sa bahay namin. Abot-bewang. Pang-walo na ngayong taon. But you know what scares me the most? The fact na we have the best available science to see that we are in danger of the adverse effects of the climate crisis but the government will not listen to it.

Why is it flooding so badly in Manila now? Default answers: climate change or the individualistic "walang disiplina" sa pagtapon ng basura. Want to reduce flood risk in earnest? Then let's avoid simplistic explanations for a highly complex phenomenon. Here's an informed take:

That being said, Sen Chiz isn’t it high time we moved past outdated practices such as dependence on fossil fuels which only exacerbate the climate crisis, and embraced sustainable solutions like renewable energy? Tulad lang ng sinabi mo, di na pwede ang dating gawi.

Grateful for GMA News for an insightful interview about the "Greening of Antartica" and its implications for the Philippines with millions of Filipinos living in the coastal communities. πŸ“» Watch the interview here πŸ‘‡ youtu.be/ZINS3LnEM4A?si…

GMA News Experts are concerned about "greening" which is a clear sign of the effects of the escalating climate crisis on the coldest continent on Earth. The spread of plants like mosses and algae can trigger melting of ice and reveals the shifts that can happen in our climate.

Disturbing news like these are exactly why we stay engaged. COP may be about negotiations, but there are so many ways to participate and push backβ€”especially against the influence of big polluters. #COP29 1/2

This investigation exposes how fossil fuel interests infiltrate these spaces, and it only strengthens our commitment to stand up and fight for climate justice. This is our reason to show up and demand accountability. 2/2
