Rwanda Biomedical Centre representative, Albert Tuyishime officially opening the event. He highlighted that the symposium is not only for the nurses and midwives but also the whole sector. He concluded by encouraging the attendees to learn, engage and inspire.

UR-CMHS School of Nursing and Midwifery Research chair Assoc.Prof Assoc. Prof. Madeleine Mukeshimana is giving a keynote and motivational speech ' The power of holistic mentorship.' she said holistic mentorship helps someone to discover his/her potential understanding of strengths and weaknesses.

UR-CMHS Directorate of the Research and Innovation Assoc. Prof Stefan Jansen, MSc, PhD is giving a motivational speech “The role of engaging young health professionals and junior researchers towards achieving PHC and UHC in Rwanda” He said that nurses are the ground floor of health care.

With his welcoming remark, UR-CMHS Principal Prof. Abraham HA. MITIKE highlighted that the University of Rwanda is here to help any postgraduate or undergraduate who wants to engage in Research because it's the backbone of any positive change.
