There’s still some work to be done on the Vancouver School Board budget to have it reflect necessary change - will trustees be willing to do it? Or will they rubber stamp it to get it done, ignoring all that they have heard about struggling staff and students?

Sarah Kirby-Yung 楊瑞蘭 Why publicize this motion in particular when there are far more important issues at hand in Vancouver School Board including not enough support staff to ensure students with disabilities are having their human right to education met? Cell phone ban is the least of our worries.

In dealing with government institutions and others with power, I think we spend a lot of energy considering whether or not things are intentional. I don't think it matters if something terrible is happenstance (unintended) if it causes harm to vulnerable people.
