🗓️#OTD in 1939, the USSR, in alliance with Germany as per the Soviet-German Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, invaded Poland from the east. This pivotal moment ignited Poland's entry into #WW2 and led to the division of its territory between Soviet and German forces.
