I have always considered “sense of humor” to be a very important aspect for building good relationships. I know that sometimes I go too far by making jokes when not supposed to, but the good feeling remains even later when we go back to our routines. ... And my kids enjoy it.

And this is what the Spanish Immersion students at EE Miller Elem are doing. It is more than focusing in on a very specific linguistic form, it is the idea of using linguistic structures in a way that is fluid and automatic.

It's been a year since I left EE Miller Elem. I am happy where I am, but I will never forget about the school and the amazing people who taught me so much. Gerald Hernandez Jr., you have always been such a great role model for all of us. I can't wait to see you shine in your new school.
