A clear sign of a toxic school is where the management of behaviour is left to staff to fend for themselves. Toxic phrases such as pick up your own tab or it’s all about relationships but no systems or support to show & allow the how to develop are big warning signs.

Last week, I decided I was a PE teacher again, visiting Challney Boys . I faced this County bowler, two bouncers later & just about alive, we had a brilliant chat. Such a modest, humble student, he’s overcome so many hardships already in life. Fab 80mph bowler. It’s why we teach.
