It’s easy to spew out hyperbole on a night like this and to say things like “this is rock bottom.” THIS NIGHT, #UNLVmbb fans, feels every bit like rock bottom. One of the worst, most embarrassing, most uninspiring performances I’ve ever seen out of a UNLV basketball team.

When a team capable of beating ANY team in a very good Mountain West Conference can lose by 30+ at home to the worst team in the conference, that tells me one thing…this is a very, VERY poorly coached basketball team. #UNLVmbb

I feel bad for the good, tournament worthy teams in the Mountain West Conference who will be punished by the NCAA tournament committee for having a “bad loss” to #UNLVmbb on their resume. A loss to UNLV will LOOK far worse than it actually is.

Again, these Mountain West referees are beyond atrocious. Not even TRYING to hide their bias against #UNLVmbb.

Incredible win by #UNLVmbb at New Mexico. Overcame two phenomenally bad 2nd half calls to get another huge, QUALITY win. If not not for the inexplicable losses to Loyola Marymount and Air Force and the “loss” to Utah State, this is an at-large tournament team.

I feel like I’ve gone through a blender after that win by #UNLVmbb. Tried to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, but showed out big time in overtime. HUGE OT win to get to 10-5 in a very tough Mountain West Conference.

Terrific, gutty win for #UNLVmbb over SDSU tonight. Dedan Thomas Jr. is special. What a remarkably poised young player he is. Hard to imagine a season with higher highs and lower lows than this one, but the Rebels have picked a great time to play their best ball of the season.

RIP to the truly great character actor M. Emmet Walsh. He was magnificent in the Coen Brothers’ film debut “Blood Simple,” and he was terrific in so many more films. Well done, sir.

The UNLV Lady Rebels have…unfortunately…run into an absolutely ridiculous shooting performance by Creighton. It seems like every player on their team is hot from deep. 10 3-pointers at the half is terribly hard to overcome. Keep at it, Rebels…let’s hope they cool off.
