Gemba Mat This still one of the best improvement tools I’ve seen. Easy, cheap and effective. And people like it. The ‘luxury’ of observing what actually happens in work. Good think Gemba again with Lisa Knight-Davies Paul Gimson whatsthepont.blog/2012/03/10/ric…

I performed the most beautiful wedding yesterday but we had a visitor and it was WILD 🧵 : Right after the congregational question we honored / remembered the groom’s father. At that moment a squawking bird swooped in and sat in an empty chair toward the front. A lady screamed!

This ‘tin tabernacle’ in Lyonshall, Herefordshire, was built in 1860 using corrugated iron. Only 86 pre-fabricated churches survive in England. They are rare as they weren’t intended for permanent use, and most were eventually replaced.

Terotechnology This is a new one for me. An early version of ‘whole life’ costing? It even had a British Standard 3843 from 1992 - 2011. Wondering if various sustainability definitions have filled the gap? One for Management Speak ancient history? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terotechn…

Not a mining landscape Mining Landscapes But definitely a product of. I’ve reclaimed some NCB TREDEGAR and NCB COEDELY bricks. Brickworks and coal mines so often went hand in hand. Not much left now other than bricks. whatsthepont.blog/2024/07/03/rec…
