The best revision habits aren’t glamorous. They are the ones that build real, lasting knowledge. The Core Four do exactly that. Flash cards, self-quizzing, mind maps, and brain dumps give students the inner drive to practise with purpose. When these become part of their routine,

I have been experimenting with Silent Solo's in English to build writing stamina and the work of Doug Lemov has been very powerful in developing this. This is an example of the format I am using at the moment; it seems to be really helping with developing sustained writing.

I often tweet graphs, maps & other visuals that I see and say that I’ll put them into my lessons but what does this actually look like? Here’s how yesterday’s find was slotted purposeful into L2 of our Year 8 tectonics topic 👩🏻‍🏫
