The USDA has extended free breakfast and lunch for all Calhoun County students for the second semester.

I’ve just watched my first game of the Calhoun County VB Finals and I can say this….. if you are a young lady who wants to be a part of a high quality VB Program….. Calhoun County is the place to be.

Wellborn had a great turnout for their annual White Christmas program. They also had a special guest!

First game of the year for White Plains softball, even though it was only a scrimmage they sure looked good!

The Class 3A State Champion Weaver High Marching Band was presented with their championship banner! Those present to present this banner were Board Members Jeff Winn, Tobi Burt, Julie Hood, Mike Webb, and State Senator Keith Kelley.

Had a wonderful time speaking with the White Plains Community this evening at WPFBC. Great crowd who had great questions as to capital planning and finances. I appreciate the passion they have for their schools.

Great event today at the Cheaha Republican Women meeting as they hosted State Superintendent Dr. Eric Mackey. Great networking event and fellowship.

Excited to be able to attend the Calhoun County Farmer’s Federation breakfast as we recognize Daniel and Carla Trantham, as Young Farmers of the Year. Calhoun County Schools looks forward to continue to assist in growing the next generation of farmers. Congrats to Daniel & Carla.
