I’m popping up to Newcastle to see Museum of Austerity Live Theatre which dear fellow North Easterners sounds unmissable - just a few more days to catch it - live.org.uk/whats-on/museu…
Our playtexts from Faber Books are stocked and ready for performances of The Ballad of Hattie and James.
The playtexts are available at Box Office, or you can pre-order yours here | bit.ly/PRE_ORDER_PLAY…

Review to follow but my god I am in bits after The Museum of Austerity Live Theatre If you want to be driven to searing, incandescent rage over now this country treats disabled and / or vulnerable people look no further. Not easy viewing, but essential.
If you’re in the North East, come to Live Theatre to check out this XR exhibition. It’s unlike anything you’ll have experienced and it will not only blow your mind, but change how you think about austerity in Britain, what “theatre” can be and how we can use technology in arts.
From something old at The Old Vic to something new at Kiln Theatre
The Ballad of Hattie and James.
I liked it very much: you have to admire storytellers: weaving together the complex elements of a story, revealing secrets, shifting back and forward in time. Great cast too 👏🏻
Live Theatre ETT Also, there are more places now available to attend the (previously full) workshop with the wonderful china mills (she/her) ImogenDay and @BlueAnnoyed on Friday, also at Live Theatre.

The Museum of Austerity is with us for only five days this week. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this incredible work. ‘Unflinching’ as described by the The Guardian theguardian.com/society/2023/n…
Sophie Thompson & Charles Edwards are never not sublime but the beautiful, unique, funny, delicate #TheBalladofHattieandJames Kiln Theatre allows them to be all these things in spades. And such a perfect example of theatre. This couldn’t be done so powerfully any other way.
