“Conceived to protect freedom, laïcité has over the past 20 years, opened the door to the pursuit of an unrelenting Islamophobia, embodied in a fixation on Muslim women and girls’ appearance.” Read my latest for the The Guardian ⤵️

The idea that UK doesn't have money to nationalise Thames Water is economically illiterate.

To nationalise, Parliament sets the price & swaps govt bonds for shares.

TW's debts, pollution & mismanagement should all lower purchase price.

Nationalisation will *save* us money.

Tory patriotism=concocted outrage about the colour of football shirts while allowing the actual land and its beautiful waters to be filled up with shit and bacteria and the people of the land to be poisoned.

So that their privateer mates can profit.

Why do UK universities keep losing legal cases? timeshighereducation.com/depth/why-do-u… via Times Higher Education
