Herd immunity is the desirable outcome of a national immunisation program.
It is NOT a strategy for preventing illness and death from an uncontrolled infectious disease.

To help contextualise Singapore’s 🏆 performance: as at 30 June 2020, Australia had 21.9 million people aged 12+ (ie eligible for Covid-19 vaccination) and a total population of 25.7M. If 90% of Australians 12+ were vaccinated, that would still only be 77% of our whole population
