Indian classroom is Caste-room comprising learners from different castes. In such settings, the job of teachers is to unravel the power relations embedded in caste rather than reproducing it. Discussions on Ambedkar, Phule & caste is often discomforting to Savarna teacher.

Participated in Dalit panchayat presidents speak out, a State level consultation at Madurai today. It was painful to listen to Dalit presidents who were subjected to various forms of caste discrimination but they continue to serve the people fighting against all these odds.
