so while i love tig, i would honestly so much rather a book like THE HEIRS (releasing in june 2026!) get an adaptation. not only is it way more adaptable (i’m reading the ARC), but it’s wonderful, written by an amazing black author, and is what tig fans are looking for

lionsgate & temple hill also acquired the rights to thieves’ gambit, which i read last year and adored, and is also a much better adaptation than tig would be. sure, maybe they can all happen, but if these stories do it better then 🤷🏻‍♀️
