Went into work today with this mindset: No matter what gets thrown my way —disruptive behaviors, negative comments, apathy — I’m going to be the teacher my scholars need me to be. This one decision revolutionized my day.

The school year 2024: My Motto In: closing my door and teaching to the best of my ability despite what fad other teachers are doing. Out: caring about what others are doing in their classrooms that does not directly relate to me and my students.

Today is the day my Mama and Pappa met in heaven. I was 10. I will be 40 in a couple of weeks. It's been a long lonely journey without you. But, thank you for always being my angels and being by my side. ❤️🙏🏾
