This week at the World Summit on the Information Society #WSIS, organized by #ITU, #UNESCO, #UNDP, and #UNCTAD 🌍, we celebrate 20 years of progress in creating an inclusive, sustainable information society. Lithuania is nearing universal connectivity goals 📶.

🌍 Excited to participate in #COP29 in Baku and engage in discussions at the #ITU roundtable! The term “green digital transition” may seem like a catchphrase, but digital tools can significantly improve sustainability not only in telecommunications, but also across other sectors.

Great to meet so many #ITF colleagues at the #COP29 in #Baku in a roundtable on greening urban transport! 🚍🌿 Transport cannot be overlooked when talking about climate change, which is why #Lithuania and #EU are actively promoting #sustainablemobility and energy independency.

Had a productive meeting with deputy minister of Azerbaijan Rahman Hummatov. Congratulations on hosting #cop29 in #Baku. We discussed innovations and greening of transport – great possibilities for bilateral cooperation. Looking forward to the next steps🌍
