Congratulations to the 7th Grade Scholars Bowl Team, going 7-2, taking 3rd at the Smith Center Meet today! They tied for first, but lost in the tie breaker. Way to go, Railers!

WGS students had a blast showcasing their creativity, teamwork abilities, and problem solving skills during Global School Play Day!

There were endless smiles and laughs in every classroom, such a fun day! Global Play Day 2026 was a success!

So proud of our WGS spellers for representing our school at the Ellis County Spelling Bee on Monday night! 🐝📚 Congratulations to Mason Fitzgerald, Daxton Burd, Opal Birdsong, and Addyson McMillan for their hard work, courage, and outstanding effort. Way to show your WGS pride!

Congratulations to the 7th Grade Scholars Bowl Team for going 4-2 at our home meet, tying for 1st, but taking 2nd after the tie-breaker! Way to go Scholars Bowl!!

WGS celebrated President's Day with an assembly commemorating the 50th anniversary of our George Washington mural that has greeted students and visitors for generations. Thank you to mural artist, Mr. Michael Jilg, and the Ellis VFW Auxiliary for visiting with our students!

Fifth grade is a few weeks into DARE class. They are enjoying their lessons and visits with Sheriff Braun.
