Wendy stands to lose her home if Bham City Council get away with slashing her pay. That is why she is striking. She deserves to be listened to and supported. It is shameful that her employer & wealthy politicians should behave otherwise 😰
The General Strike, one of the most significant industrial disputes of the 20th century, began #OnThisDay 1926. The strike saw 1.7 million workers - mainly in transport and heavy industry - come out in support of locked-out miners. Trades Union Congress called off the strike 9 days later.
