On #InternationalWomensDay2025, we recognise the female-led, historic union campaigns that paved the way for the rights we enjoy today. And we redouble our efforts going forward in the fight for recognition and equal pay. #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction

Could you lose £600 a month? That’s what Bham City Council are trying to take from bin workers. That’s why unite members are striking back. Give them a share & show your support ✊ bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Wendy stands to lose her home if Bham City Council get away with slashing her pay. That is why she is striking. She deserves to be listened to and supported. It is shameful that her employer & wealthy politicians should behave otherwise 😰

The General Strike, one of the most significant industrial disputes of the 20th century, began #OnThisDay 1926. The strike saw 1.7 million workers - mainly in transport and heavy industry - come out in support of locked-out miners. Trades Union Congress called off the strike 9 days later.

This BBC article disappointingly fails to mention a couple of key points about this week's community End The Bin Strike meeting: 1⃣ Councillors boycotted the meeting, but striking workers attended to speak to frustrated residents - if you know you're in the right, no need to

A delegation from Unite’s Energy & Utilities NISC visited the Perry Bar depot picket this morning. Our message was clear: Solidarity with the Birmingham Bin Workers! Shame on Birmingham City Council for refusing to negotiate. Workers deserve fair pay, dignity, and respect—not

Birmingham’s bin workers have been on strike for 6 months against £8,000 pay cuts. In that time, Birmingham City Council’s leader, John Cotton, hasn’t attended ANY negotiations. Please share and tell us what you think of LeaderofBirmingham’s refusal to personally negotiate 🙏

😰After 23 years of loyal service and after a personal tragedy, Adrian's employer Bham City Council told him to take a £6,000 pay cut or be made redundant. Shame on you Birmingham council! 😠 The Mirror mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…
