Eek - new phase of my PhD. I’ve got like 3 papers I’m writing, 3 other projects close, HOW does one manage the writing of many projects?I need some advice!Mind you I’m a mom of 2 homeschool kids am teaching this semester, & lose a couple days/4wks due to health things. #firstgen

Since completing my PhD in 2018 I have been on fixed-term contracts teaching & researching at 9 departments & 4 different universities in the fields of modern languages, cultures, area studies, social & political science, law, social justice & history. No wonder I’m so exhausted.

If I have to read another grad school application that starts with "I loved science since I was in the 3rd trimester" I think I'm going to hurl

a tip: get a colleague or partner to read your student evaluations for you & extract the good & constructive feedback. remember that a plethora of studies show they are biased, sexist, & racist & inaccurate measures of teaching effectiveness. Academic Chatter™ #AcademicTwitter
