Rain gauge to the NE of Ross recorded 30mm of rain in just over half and hour. Radar estimates suggest probably nearer 50mm in Ross. No UK drainage system can cope with that volume of water. For each degree of atmospheric heating the air holds 7% more water.

At a time when the state of our beaches and rivers is such an important topic it was great to welcome #EurEau to Wales to discuss this topic on a European level. Thanks. Welsh Water for hosting

Visited the NWSC 🇺🇬 sewage treatment facility in Mbale. The challenges of growth and rainwater overloading sewer networks is not just a UK issue. MINISTRY OF WATER AND ENVIRONMENT 🇺🇬 has secured World Bank funding to expand this facility
