A City Councillor is moving a motion to quash sidewalk installation, that would make streets safer and more accessible. This needs to be opposed. app.toronto.ca/tmmis/viewAgen…

Definitely worth a read. I think the Chief Justice's remarks while more political than normal for a Canadian Justice walk the line successfully in discussing the shortcomings of our society and in particular how those relate to the Justice System itself.

Great piece today in Toronto Star by Martin Regg Cohn about dirty money in politics - which plays a big role. The amt of money a politician spends far too often predicts a win. Big donors may have influence so we should drop the cap on donations, and reinstate the per vote allocation

I want to re-up this tweet, Toronto still needs more housing supply. This pandemic, which may last three years or more & could erase 5 years of rent growth, is still temporary. Rents were unaffordable five years ago because of a supply deficiency.

City Council voted to improve Bike Share Toronto. Will report on increasing time limits, explore a low-cost, barrier-free option for low-income users, & explore aligning stations with #ActiveTO bike lanes. We wrote to Council supporting these changes to increase access & equity.

That water was released from a dam into a popular recreation area used by many people on a daily basis, without any warning (automated or otherwise), shows that adequate public safety measures were not in place.
