Today, we remember the life and legacy of #MedgarEvers. He was assassinated by hate on June 12th, 1963. He was the NAACP’s first field secretary in #Mississippi, a decorated veteran, and worked to secure the #VotingRights of African Americans and to #desegregate the south.
