Approximately 100 school students and 4-H members from across the state are at Booker Fowler Fish Hatchery in Woodworth this morning to assist with paddlefish spawning. This once-in-a-lifetime experience helps students obtain first-hand knowledge about fish production.

More than 1,500 top school archers from across the state will compete for trophies and scholarships this Friday and Saturday in the 2024 ALAS State Championship at the Alexandria Megashelter, located at 8125 US Hwy 71. The public is welcome to attend! Full-day admission is $5.

🚁 LDWF’s groundbreaking helicopter net capture study in cooperation with UGA collared 35 deer in 2 days—no bait or tranquilizers! 🦌 This effort tracks deer movement during floods & monitors CWD spread along the Mississippi River. Data will shape wildlife management.
