cannot believe i have to say this in 2023 but being triggered is not being offended by something, it is an involuntary trauma response and can cause severe panic attacks, flashbacks, meltdowns, or shutdowns. people are not weak for needing trigger warnings.

OPPENHEIMER is a movie with a literal nuclear explosion and yet the greatest scene of spectacle might be Emily Blunt sassing that lawyer who had been pissing us off for three hours

Genuinely that auditorium scene in Oppenheimer is one of the scariest scenes in all of film history. That one single scream

The people crying too, and the guy throwing up and you’re unsure if it’s real or in his imagination because of what else he imagines

People are rightly pointing out how terrific Blunt is in *that* scene, but “You don't get to commit sin, and then ask all of us to feel sorry for you when there are consequences" is the moral center of OPPENHEIMER and she delivers the line with the fire of heartbreak and gospel.

This is why I try to spread education/awareness about Sensory Processing Disorder as much as possible...
