#AShipADay: May 16 Edition USS Wadsworth (DD 516) was a Fletcher-Class destroyer that served during the Second World War, 1943-1946. Her service life extended into the West German Navy and Hellenic Navy until she was sold for scrap in 1991.

#AShipADay: USS Abner Read (DD 526) USS Abner Read saw action in the Aleutian Islands Campaign and survived hitting a mine in 1943. After repair, she operated in the Pacific. She sunk after an air attack off Leyte on 1 November 1944, losing 24 of her crew. #NavalHistory
