 in 1944, U.S. Navy carriers, fast battleships, cruisers, and destroyers attacked the Western Caroline Islands. Carrier-based planes made shipping their primary target, sinking 3 destroyers, 17 freighters, 5 oilers, and 3 small vessels, while damaging 17 additional ships.

In the spring of 1999, U.S. Navy aviation contributed land-based EA-6B Prowlers, EP-3E Aries IIs, and F/A-18D Hornets to the air campaign over Kosovo known as Operation Allied Force. Allied aircraft dropped Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs) operationally for the first time.

U2 or UAP? Mid-50s, most airliners flew between 10,000-20,000ft, military aircraft like the B-47s operated below 40,000ft. Once U-2s started flying at altitudes above 60,000 feet, air traffic controllers began receiving increasing numbers of UFO reports. bit.ly/3ZDiWY
