Climate activists against wasting £27bil and destroying our countryside for 4,000 miles of pointless roads, which only ever increase traffic and emissions.

More roads. More traffic. More pollution. More countryside unlocked for development. constructionenquirer.com/2024/09/24/gal…

Induced demand strikes again. Build more roads, get more traffic, yet The Labour Party are still promising new roads despite the £15bn price tag. We could scrap new roads, spend more on improving public transport, and avoid freezing your nan for no reason this winter.

One more lane bro! America might be addicted to infinite road widening forever increasing pollution, but England doesn’t need to be as car-crazy as our friends across the pond. We need to end the induced demand fantasy and demand a road review from Rachel Reeves.

We have filed a formal complaint to the Office for Rail and Road (ORR) about National Highways’ inappropriate attempts to influence the decision making process for the £9bn Lower Thames Crossing. transportactionnetwork.org.uk/complaint-file…

Unfortunately so many people get their facts wrong about the £10bn+ Lower Thames Crossing, and do not know it has an extremely poor business case and won't fulfil its objectives thamescrossingactiongroup.com/ltc-not-fit-fo…

"Keir Starmer promised not to lead a government of easy answers. He needs the courage to say no to the Lower Thames Crossing and demand something better." Transport Action Network are right: the Lower Thames Crossing should be scrapped! greenallianceblog.org.uk/2024/10/03/is-…

The next roads programme needs to focus on maintenance and not building bigger roads. 81% of the public agree! forbes.com/sites/carltonr…

It cost £297m to produce the Lower Thames Crossing's 359,866 page long planning application. That's more than it cost Norway to build the world's longest road tunnel. The Department for Transport was meant to decide whether to approve it today. Instead, we got another delay.

Actually the main cause of this is a failure of transport strategy, putting a road building company in charge of looking at the best (multi-modal) ways of crossing the river in that area. And National Highways incompetence but they never talk about that, only planning!
