NEW: The Home Office can only locate 38 per cent of the migrants it intends to deport to Rwanda.

Only 2,143 of the 5,700 of the migrants Rwanda has agreed to accept 'continue to report to the Home Office and can be located for detention'.

Info slipped out by Home Office in a…

Brutal.
Krishnan Guru-Murthy 's killer question punctures Tory leader, 's bubble of false optimism. Reminding him of the painful reality of electoral prospects in Scotland.
Give him a break!

's solution to is not as simple or legally watertight as he claims.
BBC Verify & expert maritime lawyers show that it's illegal to pick up in the Channel & return them to France.
in choppy waters.

Sunak calls this latest targeting of welfare claimants his “moral mission”.
Genuinely disturbing that this multi-millionaire, ultra-pampered know-nothing talks like this about people for whom he has absolutely no understanding. Just disapproval.
A kind of evangelical viciousness.

It's hard to fathom how anybody who voted without demur for austerity, Brexit, Trussonomics, benefit cuts for the disabled, Universal Credit, bedroom tax, tripled tuition fees, anti-union laws and the Rwanda deportations can suddenly declare that they're a Labour MP

Just to be clear - is Ofcom pretending that the cast list from Farage to Rees-Mogg, Tice to Anderson who appear on G B “News” are in some way within “the highest standard of impartiality?” Perhaps the problem isn’t this dreary TV channel.
It’s the regulator.

creates nearly a million refugees since signing asylum deal with UK government, reports Byline Times

The Rwanda-backed M23 continues its campaign of mass rape & murder in the DRC.

But that's OK as Rwanda is now legally decreed a 'safe country'. bylinetimes.com/2024/02/19/rwa…

According to the boss of HMRC, their staff are just as productive working at home measured by calls or cases as in the office and hybrid working saves money on premises. I’ve heard Rees-Mogg has a GB News studio in his Somerset home but lectures civil servants about homeworking.

is mercilessly mocked for his ludicrous assertion that is a safe country.
He had been there & from his cosseted, privileged position he could grandly declare it's an 'orderly, well run country'.

however was having none of it.

Am I missing something? Anyone heard/read Tory outrage at dangerous St George’s day protesters attacking police and a police horse? Tommy Robinson /Laurence Fox inspired rampage rather worse than peaceful environmentalists jailed for blocking traffic

I see the UK government has, under pressure finally had to reveal the cost of sending a refugee to Rwanda. £1.8 million per person. For that same cost of ONE individual an entire refugee processing centre could be built and staffed in France solving the boats problem overnight.

This is laughable.

announced £75 billion on spending over next 6 years but no details about funding
assures it will be 'fully funded' by
'efficiencies' particularly in the civil service.

Even for this gov this ruse is risible

Rishi Sunak. What first attracted you to rounding up tragic human beings whose countries we’d bombed, imprisoning them, then trafficking them to another continent to stop any more of your most racist voters switching to the Reform Party?

Perhaps Gideon Falter should rock up to an Orange Order march in Belfast on July 12th, waving an Irish tricolor and singing 'The Soldier's Song'.
Amazingly, he would also be stopped from barging into the parade and would be treated far less politely by the cops.
